Important Safety Notice Regarding Face Painting

In the September/October issue of Today's Creative Home Arts magazine, Grandma, Mom, and Me Face Tattoos project, the “Imagine” paragraph refers to using acrylics for face painting. While the US-made DecoArt paints listed in the materials section are non-toxic, many brands are not and can easily cause injury.

It is safest to use only good quality FDA-approved face paints and, as with any such product, be sure to test on skin first. Always avoid the eye area, and never use loose glitter where it can get into eyes.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!
