• Allow glue and paint to dry between steps.
• Follow manufacturer's directions for all products.
• Use plastic placemat or similar item to protect work surface.
• See photo for details and placement.
STEP 1: Preparation. Use glass cleaner to clean glass bowl and dry with soft cloth. Turn bowl upside down on plastic placemat. Mold 3/4 of clay into a large log long enough to fit around base/rim of bowl. Apply a thin layer of glue around rim. Press on clay to rim pushing in areas to make it look like snow. Set aside to dry overnight.
STEP 2: Make cheeks, nose, & head. For head, roll foam ball onto table top to compress, and slightly flatten one side. Glue flattened side to top of bowl and let dry for several hours. For cheeks, roll two marble sized balls of clay and flatten. Cut a toothpick in half and dip in glue. Partially push toothpick halves into flattened balls, making sure they do not protrude on other side. Make a cone shape of clay for a nose and glue in 1/2 toothpick to wide end in same way as cheeks. Let dry overnight.
STEP 3: Paint and assemble. Paint foam ball and snow at base of snowman with Pearlescent White. Dip a piece of kitchen sponge into same paint and sponge onto outside of glass bowl. Paint cheeks Pearlescent Magenta. Apply glue to toothpicks and push into foam ball at cheek area. Paint nose orange, then apply glue to toothpick area and press onto face. Add dots of glue to black brads and press onto face for smile. Glue on wiggle eyes and use black marker to add eyebrows.
STEP 4: Add details. For top of earmuffs, cut 1/3 of white chenille stem, curve over top of head, and glue in place. Glue on pompoms to complete earmuffs. To make scarf ends, cut a 2” and 3” length of fleece about 1” wide. Fringe one end of each. Glue other ends to neck area of snowman. Cut a 3” wide length of fleece long enough to fit around neck and fold in thirds lengthwise. Glue in place around neck, covering glued ends of fringed pieces. Hold in place with pins until dry, then remove.
STEP 5: Finish. Glue three buttons to bowl, or belly area. Place battery-powered tea light under snowman and enjoy.
