Card, Envelope, & Bag
STEP 1: Make background.
For bag and card, measure printed paper to 2 1/2" height and width of item. Tear long edges with edger. Use paper glue to attach along top edge of bag, and across center of card as shown. Repeat for envelope, tearing a 1 3/4" strip in same way.

STEP 2: Add rub-ons. Loosely cut out appropriate Christmas sentiments rub-ons, and apply to card, envelope and bag as shown.

STEP 3: Embellish. To make lights for bag, use die-cutter and Christmas Lights die to cut two Christmas lights from Gold Styrene and one from Silver Styrene. Peel off protective coating. Pull wire through light bulbs. To coil; wrap wire ends around paintbrush handle. Use paper glue to attach light bulbs to bag. Place tissue in bag.
For frames, use die-cutter and Slide Mounts die to cut two frames from Silver Styrene. Use Gifts die to cut two bows from Gold Styrene. Peel off protective coating. Glue bows to front of frames, then glue one frame to front of card. Set aside second frame.

STEP 4: Stamp & emboss card. Use embossing pad to stamp “Celebrate” along left side of card. Use embossing powder and heat gun to emboss. Stamp “Merry Christmas” in Emerald on inside of card.

Tag
STEP 1: Make tag. Use die-cutter and Tag die to cut one from plywood. Tape off 1" border across bottom front and back of tag.

STEP 2: Paint tag. On a paper plate, make a 1:1 mixture of Petal Pink and Snow White. Basecoat top areas with mixed paint. When dry, lightly sand, wipe off with a lint-free cloth, and apply another coat. Remove tape. Basecoat bottom sections with Limeade. Sand and recoat in same way.

STEP 3: Stamp & add sentiment. Use Background stamp and Pink Pizzazz inkpad to stamp top pink areas. Clean stamp. Use Emerald inkpad to stamp bottom green areas. When dry, lightly mist entire tag with matte spray. Loosely cut out “Christmas” rub-on and apply to front of tag.

STEP 4: Make frame. Use Slide Mounts die to cut two frames from Cellfoam. Use Square die to cut one from Clear PVC. Use craft foam glue to layer two Cellfoam frames, adding PVC square on top. Use paper glue to attach Silver frame (from Step 3 of Bag instructions) on top of PVC square. Place beads into shaker window. Use craft foam glue to attach shaker to tag as shown.

STEP 5: Finish. For hanger, pull doubled ribbon through hole of tag, running ends through ribbon loop to secure. Tie ends in a knot and trim at a slant.

Cards for Charity

My local club designs and sells note stationery and then donates the proceeds to charitable organizations. We purchase card stock from printing shops and cut the paper to fit leftover envelopes that we have from our own supplies.

We sometimes also reuse flowers cut from old cards, hearts cut from cotton fabric, and pictures of animals. All are simply glued in place on the new cardstock. We sell these cards for 50 cents. Many like to buy them and create their own message.
