•  Condition all clay until soft and pliable before starting.
•  Use plastic placemat or similar to protect work surface.
•  Follow manufacturer's directions for all products.
•  Allow glue to dry between steps.
•  See photo for details and placement.

STEP 1: Preparation. Roll out clay on plastic placemat to about 1/4" thickness. To prevent sticking, spritz water onto Swirl texture sheet, then press down firmly onto clay sheet and use roller to make impressions in clay. Remove texture sheet and dab excess water from clay using paper towel.

STEP 2: Cut pieces. Using either cutters or pattern pieces & craft knife, cut out six diamond shapes. Cut six ovals from centers of diamonds. Roll two balls of clay, one about pea size and the other a little larger. Press smaller ball flat, then apply texture.

STEP 3: Assemble & bake. Press larger ball flat, then place on foil-lined baking tray. Apply a dot of polymer clay adhesive to surface and smooth using finger. Gently press evenly spaced diamond shapes onto circle. Apply polymer clay adhesive to oval shapes and press on in flower pattern, centering each over a diamond shape. Attach small circle to center of snowflake in same way. Use craft brush to apply powdered pigment to front of snowflake. Bake according to manufacturer's directions. Let cool before removing from oven.

STEP 4: Add beads. Use needle nose cutters to cut three headpins in half. Place one bead on each piece and curve ends to keep bead on. Turn snowflake over and glue curled wire ends to snowflake, so bead rolls freely in center of cutout.

STEP 5: Finish. For hanger, fold 8" of gold ribbon in half and attach with permanent glue to back of ornament.
