Table Runner
STEP 1: Cut felt. For center panel, cut one 8" x 35" piece from white felt. For borders, cut two 2 1/2" x 35" and two 2 1/2" x 13" pieces from black felt. For each flower, cut 3/4" x 12" pieces: two teal, two yellow, three pink. For each flower also cut 1 1/4" x 12" pieces: two teal, two yellow, three pink. Cut fourteen leaves from green.
STEP 2: Assemble runner. Overlap border pieces on center panel by 1/4". Pin and topstitch one border along each long edge of white center panel with 1/8" black zigzag stitch. Pin and topstitch one border along each short edge of white center panel with 1/4" black zigzag stitch. Topstitch with zigzag stitch along outer edge of black border.
STEP 3: Add vines. Using vine swirl design, space out seven vines. Draw with marker. Stitch with black thread.
STEP 4: Make flowers. Zigzag with 1/8" stitch along one edge of each flower strip. Sew basting stitch along opposite edge of each flower piece (Photo A). Pull stitches tightly. Place smaller flower on top of larger one. Stitch button through center of flower to secure (Photo B). Place a flower at end of each vine as shown.
STEP 5: Add leaves. Finger press center line of each leaf. Pin two leaves in place 1/2" under each flower. Remove each flower and topstitch leaves in place along vein line. Sew two buttons by every other vine as shown in photo. Place flowers over center of sewn leaves. Glue in place.
Pillow
STEP 1: Cut felt. For center panel, cut one 4" x 24" piece from white felt. For side panels cut two 4" x 22" pieces from black. For ruffles cut one 3" x 36" piece each from pink and teal felt. For each flower, cut one 3/4" x 12" and one 1 1/4" x 12" strips each from teal, yellow, and pink. Cut six leaves from green.
STEP 2: Assemble pillow. Overlap black side panel pieces on either side of center white panel by 1/4". Pin and topstitch in place one border along each long edge of white center panel with 1/8" black zigzag stitch. Pin and topstitch one border along each short edge of white center panel with black zigzag stitch. Topstitch with zigzag stitch along outer edge of black border.
STEP 3: Add leaves. Measure and mark center of pillow. Pin two leaves 1 1/2" apart at center mark. Measure 2" from center mark above and below. Pin two leaves 1 1/2" apart above and below center as shown in photo. Topstitch with 1/8" black zigzag stitch around each leaf. For vein, stitch a black straight stitch through each leaf with black floss (Photo C).
STEP 4: Make flowers. Make flowers in same way as Step 4 of Table Runner instructions. Glue flower to center of each pair of leaves as shown.
STEP 5: Sew ruffles. Topstitch with 1/8" black zigzag stitch along one long edge of ruffle pieces. Sew basting stitch along opposite long edge. Pull stitches to fit edges of pillow. Pin one ruffle 1/4" under each black panel end. Fold pillow overlapping short ends 2". Topstitch with black zigzag stitch through both layers of pillow along black panel sides. Insert pillow form.
Flower & Vase

STEP 2: Make flower. Topstitch with 1/8" zigzag stitch along one long edge of each flower piece. Sew basting stitch along opposite long edge of each piece. Pull stitches tightly for each piece. Pull pink piece into circle and glue short ends together. Roll yellow center into three overlapping layers. Repeat for print fabric section, rolling into two overlapping layers. Glue yellow center into center of print into center of pink. Insert end of flower stem into center of flower and glue in place.
